The collection consists of photographs and autographs collected by Ellis D. Robb and Adelaide Robb, and correspondence to the Robbs relating to their acquisition. Autographed photographs are of General Leonard Wood, John McCormack, Leslie Ward, James S. Sherman, and James Saxon Childers. Autographs included are by Hugh Walpole, James Bede, Franklin MacVeagh, Charles W. Fairbanks, James R. Garfield, Anna Balestier, Henry C. Wallace, John C. Coolidge, Carter Glass, Walter Brown, Newton D. Baker, Marian Bower, Lytton Strachey, and Emma S. Bellamy. Also included are several typewritten correspondence from secretaries to presidents of the United States, and some autographs that are illegible and undated.

The collection consists of an autograph manuscript copy of Dan Emmett's song "Dixie land," which was written on 22 February 1899 at Conshocton, Ohio. The recto comprises voice and chorus for the minstrel arrangement while the verso lists the lyrics for five stanzas. This copy has words only; there is no musical notation. (21 1/2 X 26 1/2 cm.) Accompanying the sheet is the quill pen used to make the copy. In addition, the collection contains clippings, off-prints, brochures, and photocopies of other materials relating to Emmett and his famous work. There is also an early recording of "Dixie" by Mabel Garrison and the Victor Male Quartet for Victoria Records.
